Since joining the company in 2016, she has played a crucial role in making the arts accessible to Deaf audiences in Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond. Rāhera's notable work includes her involvement in 'Salonica', which featured a unique Deaf/hearing creative team and toured internationally, including the UK, Serbia, and Montenegro. Her expertise in NZSL and attention to detail ensure that language options on stage are authentic and inclusive. 'Working with Hearing allies who prioritise language access and embrace a non-hierarchical, supportive attitude can really enhance communication and understanding. It's all about building partnerships where everyone’s needs and contributions are valued equally. To show we are valued teamwork with equality’
