Kim Anderson (Ngāti Maniapoto/Singaporean Chinese) is a freelance illustrator, designer, writer and book fiend based in Tāmaki Makaurau. She loves happy visuals, great copy and at least four cups of tea a day. Kim has a Graduate Diploma in Visual Communications from Massey University and a lifetime of half-finished sketchbooks. Her work is often silly, sentimental and chaotic, focusing on themes of identity, selfhood, and mental health.

You can find her work @kimcandraw on Instagram online at kimcandraw.com.

Working with me:

I love creating clear, cartoony visuals for diverse audiences and platforms. My process is transparent and collaborative, so you always know what you’re getting and for how much. I’m also open for personal commissions, like portraits and posters. I’m currently juggling a couple of contracts and other work, so it may take me a few days to get back to you. If you haven’t heard from me after a week, please give me a small prod.
