Arts practice:

  • writing
  • non-fiction
  • the very occasional poem.

Robyn Hunt (she/her) writes non-fiction, commentary, and the occasional poem – mostly on disability-related subjects. She has a varied background in print journalism, radio and TV, as well as in human and disability rights. Most of her writing is published online. She is currently working on a personal essay collection.

Robyn is strongly and proudly connected to the disability community and identity. She is a co-founder of Crip the Lit and has contributed to Here We Are, Read Us: women, disability and writing, as well as to the Verb Wellington Readers and Writers Festivals. She was the inaugural recipient of the Toi Pōneke d/Deaf and/or Disabled Artist Residency.

Robyn lives in Te Whanganui-a-Tara / Wellington and is Pākehā with Scots and English heritage.

I am interested in collaboration. Until now, I’ve collaborated through Crip the Lit, but I’m open to new ideas.
